Kourion is one from the oldest and attractive ruins in Cyprus. It was from the 2nd century BC.

The theater is located near Limassol at the most southern part of the town.

There are lots of buildings left from the ancient times. One from them is Kourion, a theater created probably for gladiators’ games. It included over 3000 seats. Now the amphitheater has been a venue for cultural events. Many local artists perform musical or theatrical performances during the warm months in the year.

It has been renovated and upgraded almost all the site to be accessible for wheelchairs.

The area attracts lots of visitors who want to see the ancient city. Hint! We recommend to be visited in the early mornings or in the later afternoon if you wish to avoid the crowds. You will be needed at least 2 hours to visit the entire complex.
